Shipping policy for sellers

Pick a package size, print a prepaid label after it sells, drop it off. Tracking and delivery update on their own.
Package sizes and prices
When you list, choose the size your item ships in. Buyers pay one nationwide price for that size, and that shipping money buys your USPS Ground Advantage label, so it costs you nothing. If you end up shipping on your own instead, the shipping is added back to your payout.

- Offer free shipping: tick the box when listing. Buyers see “Free shipping” and the size's price comes out of your payout.
- Pick the right size. Labels are bought for the size's maximum weight. If a package is heavier or bigger than its size, the carrier can charge extra, which may come out of your payout.
- Oversized or special items: choose “Ship on my own”, set your own shipping price, buy your own label and add tracking.
After a sale
- You'll get a “You sold…” notice. Open Orders → Sales.
- Tap Get shipping label. The first time, add your ship-from address (you can save it in Settings). The label opens as a PDF to print.
- Ship within 3 business days. Tape the label on and drop the package at any USPS location or blue box, or schedule a free USPS pickup.
- That's it. The buyer is notified, tracking updates on its own, and when the carrier marks it delivered your payout timer starts.
No printer? Most post offices can print a label from the QR code or tracking number; a printer at a library or office store works too.
Packing
- Pack so the item arrives in the condition you listed it: a poly mailer for most clothing, a box for shoes (don't ship in the shoebox alone) and for anything fragile.
- Keep a photo of the item until the order is paid out.
Lost or damaged packages
If a package with valid tracking is lost or damaged in transit, the buyer is refunded and BlackMarkit covers you for up to $100 per order. That limit is going up soon.
Can't ship?
If the item is lost, damaged or already sold elsewhere, cancel the order from Orders before you ship. The buyer is refunded in full and a $2.99 cancellation fee comes out of your next payout. Frequent cancellations can lead to a warning.
Rules that protect everyone
- Tracking numbers must be real and for that order. Fake or reused tracking leads to immediate suspension.
- Don't ask buyers to change their address or pay for shipping outside BlackMarkit.
- Late shipping without cancelling counts toward a strike under the 3 Strikes system.
